
A minor in coaching, which is a 16.5- to 17-credit minor offered through the Kinesiology and Integrative Physiology Department, prepares students in the fundamentals of coaching individual and team sports for all ages. There is an increasing need in our society for coaches trained in how to teach sports, develop strong character, run a team, practice and train safely, and work with parents.
The Coaching Minor is designed to follow National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE) guidelines.
