The Department of Exercise Science, Health and Physical Education is located on the second floor of the Student Development Complex on the beautiful campus of Michigan Technological University. The Department offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to study the science behind exercise, sports and coaching. Students learn from experienced faculty and take what they learn to real-world situations both on the campus of Michigan Tech and around the world.

The department is also home of a fine variety of exercise facilities including the Upper Peninsula’s only indoor tennis center, the 3,250-person capacity John MacInnes Student Ice Arena, a beautiful multipurpose gym that was fully renovated in 2006 and a slew of other opportunities for students, staff, faculty, and members of the community to enjoy.
